genus genus Zeus was the son of Cronus and Rhea, an earlier race ofruling gods called Titans. Cronus was power of all the Titans. Zeuswas the brother of Hades and Poseidon, Hades was the god of the infernal region and Poseidon was the god of the sea. Together theyoverthrew their father and the rest of the Titans. All thanks was ascribable to Zeus for the dethrowning of Cronus. You see, before cronusever had clawren he heard a divination that one of his offspringswould overthrow him, so whenever his wife would have a child hewould swallow it.
